Fine Arts

The Bishop Foley Fine and Performing Arts courses offer students a well-rounded art experience in a wide range of visual art mediums, as well as in choral and drama performance and video production. Students in these classes are offered the opportunity to express creativity and hone their artistic skills, as well as to explore the cultural aspects of the arts and how they shape society. All students can benefit from participation in these classes, as they expose students to expression which can only be experienced through the arts.
Typically, the Choral Ensemble performs in two concerts per school year — one at Christmas time and another in the Spring — in which they can showcase their talent. Foley’s annual Spring Art Show gives our Art and Photography students the opportunity to display some of the finest photos, drawings, paintings, pottery, and sculpture imaginable. Each year, Foley’s Art and Photography students receive numerous awards from the Scholastic Art Contest.
