Bishop Foley Catholic High School Board of Education

When:
Refer to the school calendar for exact meeting dates and times. Usually the 1st Monday of every odd numbered month (i.e., Jan, Mar, May, etc.) between September and May at 7:00PM.

Where the meetings are held:
Conference room at Bishop Foley Catholic High School.

The purpose of the Bishop Foley Catholic High School Board of Education is to advise and give direction to the school administration on school policy, subject to regulations that may come from the Diocesan Bishop of the Archdiocesan Office.

This Board has the responsibility to improve school operations through the following activities:

  1. Evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program.
  2. Provide overall policies under which administrative officers shall operate the educational program of the school.
  3. Determine policies relating to the planning, operating and maintenance of the facilities and equipment.
  4. Review and approve the annual budget.
  5. Coordinate service organizations and provide general policy to insure cooperation toward primary objectives of the school.
  6. Implement policies of the Archdiocesan School Office.
  7. Foster better understanding and support of Catholic education.
  8. Recommend and approve organizational structures.
  9. Provide supportive direction to the school administration.

The Board is a representative body composed of at least the following voting members:

  • one (1) member from each of the co-founding parishes (St. Dennis and Guardian Angels)
  • four (4) members at large

Ex-officio members of the Board will be the two (2) pastors of the co-founding parishes, the Principal and Assistant Principal.
