Self nomination form for candidates interested in running for office on Student Council; elections are in May for grades 10-12 and in September for incoming 9th graders.

The members of the Student Council take pride in improving the overall learning experience that goes with being a member of the Bishop Foley family.

Student Council consists of 20 student leaders, 16 class representatives who have been elected by the student body and 4 Executive Board members who have been elected by student council members. Members of Student Council are elected each year by their peers to positions of leadership within their class and within Student Council. Student Council members gain valuable experience in planning, preparing and leading many different school activities such as Homecoming, school dances, fundraisers, charity events, and community service events, Freshmen Meet and Greet and Field Day. Students learn to be leaders by acquiring the essential skills of an effective leader such as: problem solving, organization and scheduling, clear communication, the art of delegating responsibilities, teamwork and a positive attitude in the face of adversity. Student Council works to foster and increase school spirit and unity at Bishop Foley.
