The BFC School Board has been reorganized and streamlined to better assist school administration in carrying out the mission of Bishop Foley Catholic High School. The School Board consists of a Board of Trustees, an Executive Board and six advisory sub-committees. Each committee contains a member of the High School Administrative Team, a Board of Education Trustee, High School staff and parents. The following sub-committees meet monthly to discuss progress towards established goals and present recommendations to the Executive Board:
Committee goals focus on determination academic areas where growth is needed. They will work together to suggest plans for improvement or modification.
The Athletic Committee is currently working in conjunction with At-Large members and Administration on various improvements to the athletic facilities. Recent action items include a new baseball scoreboard, improved outdoor concession stand compliance, as well as advising on equipment replacement. This group works in assisting the Athletic Director in examining athletic needs to promote a quality program and facility.
The Building and Grounds Committee will examine and evaluate past building and grounds studies. They work with school administration to generate, update and advise on a central list of improvement projects. The Building and Grounds Committee will work closely with the newly re-formed Bishop Foley Catholic Dad’s Club on completion of selected projects.
The Catholic Identity Committee works with the school administration to ensure that we remain an undeniably Catholic institution.
The Finance Committee serves to analyze school financial information and make recommendations to the school administration. Recent areas of focus include: the school lunch program, tuition and fees and athletic funding.
The Marketing Committee works closely with the school Advancement Department on the branding of BFC. Recent action items include the adoption of new website, an e-commerce store, and a school marketing plan for print and media advertising.
