Welcome to the Bishop Foley Catholic athletic program!
BFC Athletic Department Philosophy
The Bishop Foley Catholic High School Athletic Program is an important source of pride and integrity for the Bishop Foley community. This program remains a significant focal point for the school community, as evidenced by the number of championship banners and trophies awarded to our athletic teams and players each season. Foley’s athletes strive to be positive role models and are encouraged by coaches and teachers to develop their athletic talents, high academic standards, Christian leadership, and involvement in community service. Athletes and their families understand that the total Catholic school educational curriculum takes precedence over the athletic program. The ultimate goal of our athletic program is to develop respectful young men and women who understand the importance of Catholic values, self-confidence, good sportsmanship, and teamwork, and are willing to share their talents by giving back to their community.
Athletic Department Objectives
- To offer a variety of opportunities to participate in interscholastic athletics.
- To provide athletic programs that will encourage individual and team success, achievement, and emotional well-being.
- To teach students the value of good sportsmanship in a competitive atmosphere.
- To develop effective and essential leadership skills in student-athletes.
We believe that students should participate in a variety of sports and activities. Specialization is not encouraged. In order for our programs to succeed, we need student-athletes to be involved in more than one sport. It is good for student-athletes to learn a variety of skills and compete in different environments. Participation in more than one sport often prevents burnout, both physically and emotionally. College coaches prefer multi-sport athletes! The 12 seasons award recognizes seniors who participate in 12 consecutive seasons of sport during their high school career.
How to Register for Athletics at Bishop Foley Catholic
All athletes at BFC are required to fill out certain forms (MHSAA physical exam & clearance & consent, text message authorization, consent to transport, etc.) The Transcript, Transportation and Text form can be found in portal or in the Forms and Links
section under athletics! Please return with your MHSAA physical form to the main office or athletics.
It's a great day to be a Venture!
