They defeated three time defending champs Our Lady of the Lakes last night 71-61 in the Catholic League Semi-final game.  They will now play at Calihan Hall on Sunday, Feb 19th at 1 pm for the championship. Please support our Lady Ventures as they play for the school’s first Catholic League Championship since 1998. The Catholic League has strict rules regarding fan participation during championship play. Please remember that we are very enthusiastic and supportive of all our teams.  Let’s show true Catholic sportsmanship and be mindful of the proper seating area for our school and that the playing floor is off limits to the spectators.  Great fans support great teams.  Go Lady Ventures!

*Bishop Foley’s hockey team decisively beat Shrine Monday night by a score of 7 to 3.  The team won all three games it played over the weekend.  On Saturday night, Foley beat Airport High by an identical 7 to 3 score.  Last Friday night, we defeated the Willow Run Pilots by a score of 4 to 3.  This year’s team is the winningest in team history with 16 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie with 2 games left to play.  The hockey team faces off against Notre Dame Prep Sunday, February 19th at Noon in the Catholic High School League Showcase game played at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s.   Come out and support your team.

*On Monday and Tuesday the Foley cheer team is having a Valentine’s Day fundraiser during A and B lunch.  Support the team by purchasing a bag of candy for your Valentine for $1 to $2.

*Congratulations to Bryan Durbrow who placed 3rd and Brenton Pippin who placed 1st at the Wrestling District Championships on Saturday.  Both wrestlers move into the Regional Championships this weekend.
