BFC Football Defeats Detroit Public Safety in the Home Opener

Boys Football defeated Detroit Public Safety Academy 42-32 in the season opener. Kendel Taylor had 165 yards on 30 carries including 3 touchdowns. A bruising 15 yard run late in the 4th quarter in which Kendel carried multiple Eagles defenders was characteristic of the workman like effort he put in for the day. Braden Mussat threw for another 3 scores as he connected with Sam Siepker and Klayton Cornell. Klayton had 8 receptions for 136 yards and 2 touchdown catches. The defense led by John Stickney, Zach Proctor, Jakob Hoffman and Griffin Connert played strong while recording a safety, having double digit pass break ups, creating multiple turnovers including an interception by Cooper Harbowy, and putting pressure on the quarterback the entire game. It was also a great turnout by Venture Nation! The team is back at home next Thursday, as they face Detroit University Prep Science and Math. Kickoff is 7 PM.
