Every summer, Bishop Foley Catholic offers a variety of sports and academic topic camps. These are open to grade school students, current BFC, and incoming Foley students. Registration is available online. Click on one of the following links for more details about the related camp.

Baseball (Boys)

On the first day, the coaching staff will take the campers through a showcase and test their skills in a variety of areas. Training will transition on day two as staff will review skills to help each individual develop and improve their game. The primary focus of this camp will be focusing on the fundamentals of defense, pitching, base running, and hitting. Participants will get a first hand look at how BFC players approach each aspect of their position and their approach at the plate. The atmosphere will be fun and educational.

This camp will feature drills and games designed to improve players' shooting, passing, ball handling, and overall understanding of the game. The camp will feature one on one, 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 contests to encourage competition throughout the camp. Participants will be able to experience the latest in shooting technology on our NOAH system.

The basketball camp will focus on teaching offensive and defensive skills of the game through developing a strong foundations of fundamentals that will take players to the next level. Coach Ocampo is a 1992 graduate of Bishop Foley Catholic. He has over 20 years experience of playing and coaching the game of  basketball, including playing professionally overseas. He has coached both boys and girls and is currently the Varsity Girls Basketball coach for the Ventures. The key goal for this camp is for every participant to become a better basketball player through instruction, games, and contests.

Coach Barnes has worked with the Detroit Lions' youth programs for several years. This camp will utilize the knowledge from that program to develop each individual and teach team concepts. Players will get instruction based on specific positions, before moving into a team environment. Coach Barnes also focuses on teaching athletes the importance of safety through applying the Heads Up Tackling Approach.
  

Volleyball (Girls)

Both camps are designed for participants to improve skill level, enhance player development, and build confidence. It is geared towards players of all levels that want to work on their skill set and improve their volleyball knowledge in preparation for game season. Coach Gignac and her staff will lead the training for this camp.

The Youth Skills Camp is designed for young athletes. Specifically those who are just getting started and want to learn more about volleyball techniques.

The camp for grades 7-9 is designed to give participants a fun and challenging experience. The focus is on all aspects of volleyball. Training groups are established based on each individual's skill level.
 
Faith and FUNdamentals Sports Camp

For the first time Bishop Foley Catholic and Football Coach Brian Barnes are proud to announce that we will be offering a Faith and FUNdamentals summer camp for 3rd through 6th graders. This all day camp will focus on faith and fundamentals in athletics. Coach Barnes and student-athlete volunteers from our Catholic Athletes for Christ chapter will teach the fundamentals of a different sport such as football, soccer, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, floor hockey, and volleyball. After learning the fundamentals the campers will be divided into teams for fun games and contests. The campers will also receive a daily faith lesson on the following topics: setting goals, sportsmanship, self-esteem, and servant leadership. Lunch will be provided for the campers.
 
Drama
 
Grades 6-9

All the world's a stage; come learn some things about performing! This program is open to everyone interested in drama. No experience necessary. The students will learn basic stage directions, acting techniques, breathing exercises, stage combat and put on a short skit with fellow actors. It's a great way to meet others interested in drama and become more comfortable in public speaking situations.
 

High School Placement Test Workshop

This 3-day summer class is specifically designed for incoming 8th grade students who want to start preparing for the High School Placement Test. Participants will receive a prep book, take a full-length practice test, and learn skills and testing techniques from our distinguished faculty.

This class is designed for incoming BFC freshmen. Students will receive a Chromebook and review digital texts, syllabi, sample quizzes, tests, study techniques and time management. Students are required to begin their summer reading assignment, as well as organize their notebooks for their freshmen classes. The teachers of this class maintain contact with the student during their first semester at Foley.
