Dress Code

It is important that students keep in mind they serve as ambassadors for Bishop Foley Catholic High School therefore they should be well-groomed, neat, clean, and modest – during and after school, while on campus and at all school-related functions. In keeping with these principles, students at Bishop Foley Catholic are required to wear uniforms, and every student who accepts a place in the Bishop Foley Catholic student body agrees to abide by the uniform and Personal Appearance Code guidelines. Failure to have any piece of the required uniform, including the monogram, may result in a detention. 

A presentable and respectful appearance is required both during and after school, while on campus, and at all school-related functions. Complete details about uniform requirements can be found in the Student/Parent Handbook on the Parent/Student Portal

Uniforms can be purchased through Schoolbelles, Lands' End, and our newly-added supplier Tommy Hilfiger . For purchases made on Lands' End, use the school code 900166513. Purchases made on Tommy Hilfiger, use the school code BISH09.

DRESS CODE FOR 2021-2022:
Below are the updates to the dress code based on the new uniform selections for male and female students.

Regular Uniform (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

Females
  • Monogrammed BFC black and gold plaid skort or skirt/kilt (with black modesty shorts) no more than 2” above the bend in the knee, or monogrammed khaki pants with solid color black/brown belt
  • White Oxford or short sleeved black or white monogrammed Polo  
  • Monogrammed sweater/sweater vest (optional)
  • ½ zip monogrammed fleece (optional)
  • White/ black knee-high Dress Socks (single color, no logos/insignias/stripes)
  • Black closed toe, closed heel dress shoes (No athletic style shoes)

Males
  • Monogrammed khaki pants with solid color black/brown belt
  • White oxford or short sleeved monogrammed polo
  • Monogrammed sweater/sweater vest (optional)
  • ½ zip monogrammed fleece (optional)
  • Black or khaki dress socks (single color, no logos/insignias/stripes)
  • Black dress shoes (No athletic style shoes)

Perfect Uniform (Every Tuesday and Special Mass Days)

Females
  • Monogrammed BFC black and gold plaid skort or kilt (with black modesty shorts) no more than 2” above the knee, or monogrammed khaki pants with solid color black/brown belt
  • White oxford
  • Monogrammed sweater/sweater vest (required)
  • Black knee socks or black opaque tights
  • Black closed toe, closed heel dress shoes (No canvas or mesh material)

Males
  • Monogrammed khaki pants with solid color black/brown belt
  • White oxford
  • Monogrammed sweater/sweater Vest
  • Black or khaki dress socks (single color, no logos/insignias/stripes)
  • Black dress shoes (No canvas or mesh materials)


Converse, VANS, Bobs, Toms or similar canvas shoes are not dress shoes. Shoes with white soles are not acceptable dress shoes.

Summer Uniform

Males

  • Khaki shorts with solid black/brown belt (must be no more than 2” above the knee)
  • White Oxford, short sleeve monogrammed black or white polo, or Black/White/Gray/Gold Foley Short Sleeve Tee (must be tucked)
  • SOLID White or SOLID Black Gym Shoes (this means same color laces and insignia/logo.)
  • White or black ¼ socks or crew socks. (must be visible) Sock color must match shoe color.

Females

  • Monogrammed BFC black and gold plaid skirt (with black modesty shorts) no more than 2” above the bend in the knee or khaki shorts with solid black/brown belt (must be no more than 2” above the bend in the knee)
  • White Oxford, short sleeve monogrammed black or white polo, or Black/White/Gray/Gold Foley Short Sleeve Tee (must be tucked)
  • SOLID White or SOLID Black Gym Shoes (this means same color laces and insignia/logo.)
  • White or black ¼ socks or crew socks. (must be visible) Sock color must match shoe color.
 
Summer Uniform Period: On or near May 1st until October 1st. (Adjustable by administration and will be announced/communicated)
