Bishop Foley Catholic has two counselors to assist students with guidance counseling. Mrs. Peurach is the 11th and 12th grade counselor. See the reference materials below for course selection options.
Foley's goal is for all juniors to begin the planning stages for their journey after Bishop Foley Catholic. Every student meets individually with the counselor to begin college planning and continue the four year plan. They will also learn about methods used to study and ways to prepare for the ACT/SAT test
. Plus, students will have opportunities to meet with college recruiters.
In the 11th grade, students should be starting the college planning process. One website that can be used as a starting point is EnAct
. It provides assistance for ACT and SAT preparation and free ACT and SAT resources for scholarships.
If they have started the college application process, they may need transcripts, letters of recommendation or other documents. Visit the Parchment website
for more details.
Foley strives to have all seniors to continue thinking about their post-secondary education choices and career goals. Each student meets individually with the counselor to ensure they have fulfilled all graduation requirements and discuss college and career options. During the fall, several on campus college visits are scheduled where students can meet with college recruiters.
Seniors that need a transcript, letter of recommendation, or other documents can visit the Parchment website
