Catholic Schools Week 2018 was a busy week for Bishop Foley Catholic students, faculty, and staff. One of the most impactful activities included a service project coordinated by the Mission and Ministry Club that benefited Gleaners Food Bank in Warren. Students were asked to bring in a canned food item or $2 if they wanted to wear jeans on Friday, February 2.
The donations turned out to be more than double! Students, faculty and staff generously donated 1,462 non-perishable food items and $137. “When I think about the canned food drive, the expression “Strength in numbers” comes to mind,” stated BFC Mission and Ministry Director, Ashley Hursin. “As the donations began to pour into my office, I was blown away by the generosity shown by our students and staff. The Bishop Foley Catholic High School community truly came together to make an impact.”
