Academics 

Bishop Foley Catholic offers a college preparatory academic program with more than 100 courses and 20 AP and honors classes. In addition to the traditional required high school classes, Foley includes additional course offerings in STEM, performing/visual arts, foreign language, theology, and more.

Attendance

Calling In Sick

Parents must call the Welcome Desk at 248-658-2031 by 9 a.m.

If a call is not received, an unexcused absence will be recorded. Students who receive an unexcused absence will, at a minimum, receive detention.

Late Arrivals or Early Departures

Students must always check in with the Attendance Office, upon late arrival and leaving early. Failure to do this, will result in a detention.

Office Hours

Monday - Friday
7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
 

First Hour Tardies

  • Less than 15 minutes late = Student is considered tardy.
  • 1-5 Tardies = Considered free
  • 6-9 Tardies = Student receives a detention for each additional tardy

Class Tardies

A student is considered tardy if the arrive after the bell, but are within seven minutes of the class starting. If they have four unexcused tardies within a quarter, the student will receive a detention.  For complete details on the attendance and tardy policy, please view the current student/parent handbook.
