Looking for service hours? Guardians Angels is looking for volunteers to help out with their All Saints Day Party on Saturday, Nov 2. Volunteers are needed from 3:30- 7:30pm to help with set up and clean up, in addition to running games during the event. This is a lot of fun for the families who attend so please consider helping out! Contact Mrs. Baumgartner to sign up.

There will be a Drama Club Meeting today after school from 3:30-4:40 pm in the pit! Open to all current and new members! There will be snacks!

Having support when we are doing well and when we are struggling can make all the difference in feeling known and loved. Our Mental Health Walk next Wednesday supports the American Foundation for Suicide Preventation and the idea that who you are is valuable, worthy and loved, Remember to bring your $20 to Mr. Lewalski or Mr. Swift to participate in this important event to support all aspects of mental health.

Sports Announcements for Friday, Oct 11, 2024

Yesterday, the United Ventures Swim Team went to Mercy for a meet vs Mercy and the University of Liggett. We split the meet, losing to Mercy 136 - 49 and defeating Liggett 111-46, bringing the team record to 6-5. Final results were:

Avery Wood finished 3rd in the 200 Freestyle

Vanessa Hesse finished 3rd in the 200 Individual Medley

Kate Swonder took 2nd in the 100 Butterfly

Vanessa took 3rd in the 100 backstroke

Avery took 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke

200 Medley Relay team of Vanessa, Avery, Kate, and Ella took 3rd place

200 Free Relay team of Avery, Kate, Ella, and Sophia took 2nd

and the 400 Free relay team of Jade, Vanessa, Gracie, and Sophia took 2nd place.

Avery Wood and Kate Swonder will be competing in the MISCA Swim meet tomorrow at Eastern Michigan University for qualifiers. Avery will compete in the 100 Breaststroke, and Kate in the 100 Butterfly. The next team meet will be the CHSL Tri-Meet on Tuesday, October 15 @ 6pm, where the ventures take on Marian and Greenhills at North Hills Middle School.

The next Catholic Athletes for Christ meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 16th, at 7:25AM in the FanCave. All BFC athletes are welcome to join us. Please see Mr. McCormick if you have any questions.

There will be a Baseball signup and meet coach Tim McEvoy at lunch on Wednesday, October 16. Coach will meet with players and discuss basic team philosophy, and off-season training.
