Class of 2023 - Graduation Ceremony Information

Extra Tickets:

 

The Baccalaureate Mass will be held at Guardian Angels at 3:00pm with doors opening for seating at 2:00pm. The Conferral of Diplomas will immediately follow mass (and includes a speech from both our Class of 2023 Valedictorian and Salutatorian and Alumni Keynote speaker). We anticipate the ceremony to conclude around 5:00pm.

Graduation practice held at Guardian Angels on Thursday, May 11th from 11:00-1:00pm, is mandatory for all senior students. At practice, students will receive their graduation tickets including requested extra tickets. They will also receive their yearbook and keepsake copy of The Venturian.

Important Notes:

  • Graduates will enter the building through the gym doors and check-in at the table with a Bishop Foley faculty member.

  • Graduates sit with their classmates in a designated area separate from their families.

  • Graduates must be in their pews and seated for the Call to Worship before the start of Mass at 3:00 p.m.  Please fill up all the pews designated for the graduates.

  • No one will be seated once the Mass begins at 3:00 pm

We ask all of our guests and students to remember that this ceremony is in church. We ask that there be no applause, yelling of names, or any type of interruption that would take away from the dignity of this graduation.

Photography - A still photo of each graduate will be taken. They will be available purchase through Kaiser Photo Studios online (www.kaiserstudio.com)

Students must return to Foley the following week to pick up their senior packets, which consists of their student file, diploma, and other important documents. Packets will be available in the Main Office.


 

Mandatory Dress Code for Male Students
  • Dress pants, shirts, ties, dress shoes and dark dress socks.
  • No Shorts, No T-Shirts.
  • Dress shoes and dark dress socks. No Athletic Shoes, No Flip Flops
  • No earrings or facial piercings.
  • Males must be clean-shaven and their hair must be cut according to school policy, outlined in the Student Handbook.
Mandatory Dress Code for Female Students
  • Dress pants or a skirt with a blouse, or a dress are allowed.
  • Closed-toe, closed back shoes are strongly recommended. Sandals permitted.
  • Absolutely no flip flops or boots.
  • No facial piercings.
  • Closed-toe, closed-back shoes are strongly recommended.
  • No corsages.
  • Hair coloring must be in a natural shade, as outlined in the Student Handbook.
Other Rules & Regulations
  • Jeans or other casual pants/shorts are not permitted for any students.
  • Additional adornment not provided by Bishop Foley (stoles, cords, pins) must be approved by Administration.

All families will receive 6 tickets. Your graduate does not need a ticket. If your graduate has a sibling(s) currently attending BFC, the student will receive a ticket(s) that does not count toward your 6. If you need additional tickets, please complete and submit this form. Up to 2 additional tickets will be allocated in the order the requests are received. If extra tickets remain and your request is for more than 2 tickets, these tickets will be allocated in the order the requests are received. All parents/guardians will be notified of their additional ticket allotment no later than April 17th.

Senior Honors Banquet

Senior Honors Banquet - Class of 2023

Date: May 1, 2023

Venue: American Polish Cultural Center

This is our Annual Banquet, by invitation only, to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the 2023 senior class during their years at Bishop Foley. The banquet involves a mass at Guardian Angels church with a brunch and award ceremony following.

The 2023 Annual Honors Award Ceremony and Banquet will be held on Sunday, April 30th at the American Polish Cultural Center. Families are invited to attend 9:00 am mass at Guardian Angels Catholic Church and afterwards make their way to the awards ceremony with doors opening at 10:15. After a wonderful meal, we will recognize the class of 2023 for their academic and athletic achievements during their years at Bishop Foley. The ceremony should be completed by 1:00pm.

Families of students receiving Bishop Foley awards were provided with an invitation by mail and email to attend both mass and the awards banquet. RSVP cards with number attending and payment are due by April 21 st . For attendees with any dietary restrictions, we ask that you indicate that on the card or contact Thea Augustyn by email at augustyn@bishopfoley.org or phone 248-658-2030.
