Attention all Freshmen! Student Council needs four dedicated student leaders to make an impact here at Bishop Foley and in the community as well. Students get to collaborate with other Student Council members and their classmates to help share ideas and interests for school-wide activities. Think you would be a good fit? Applications are in the Main Office until Monday, August 31st. If you have any other questions regarding Student Council, please see Ms. Jagow in room 230!

Are you ever worried about getting in all of your service hours? If so, then you should join the Key Club, where we do monthly service projects! If you are interested in joining, there will be an informational meeting at 7:30am in Room 222 on Tuesday. If you have any questions, see Avery Wood or Mr. Merricle.

Dance company will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 2 at 3:30pm in the pit/stage area. No experience necessary, if you are interested in dance, come on by!

BFC's Art Club has its first & general interest meeting on Thursday, September 3rd, in room 128 from 3-:30pm. Art club offers a variety of art activities and projects for those who are interested, as well as studio work time for students enrolled in art courses here, and opportunities to design and paint on walls around campus and in the community. A reminder that the first meeting of THE PAGE TURNERS, our revamped BFC book club, will be held this afternoon, from 3:00-3:30 pm in Lab 4 of the Media Center. We will have a 1 minute book talk about our favorite book, share dates for our upcoming meetings and discuss our selection for the month of September. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

Sports Announcements for Friday, August 28, 2026

The United Swim and Dive Team kicked off the season last night with a home meet, falling to Gabriel Richard 111-68. We had a lot of good times, a lot of 2nd and 3rd place finishes, and excellent swims by our Freshmen. The final results were:

  • Louisa McCartney was 2nd and Zoe Seals 3rd in the 200 IM
  • Izzy Smith was 2nd and Addison Daly 3rd in the 50 Freestyle
  • Zoe was 2nd in butterfly
  • Avery wood took 2nd in the 100 Freestyle
  • Taylor Wolfe was 2nd in the 500 Freestyle.
  • Izzy Smith was 3rd in the 100 Backstroke
  • Avery took 2nd and Louisa 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke
  • Medley Relay Team of Izzy, Avery, Addison, and Elizabeth took 2nd, while the team of Taylor, Louisa, Zoe and Dania took 3rd
  • 200 Freestyle Relay Team of Elizabeth, Louisa, Addison, and Avery took 2nd
  • 400 Free Relay team of Zoe, Taylor, Vanessa, and Izzy took 2nd.

Next up for the team is Athens and Country Day on Tuesday, Sept 1st at Athens. Swim and Dive are still accepting girls to join the program. No experience is necessary. Practices are at Lamphere High School from 4:30-7:00pm. Come give it a try!

Good luck to BFC Football who play Oakland Christian tonight at the Auburn Hills Multisports Athletic Field! Game time is at 7:00pm. Please come out and support our boys as they play their first game of the season! The theme is Black & Gold and we want to pack the stands, so be there and BE LOUD!
