SPIRIT POINTS ARE BACK UP FOR GRABS FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR.

Students can earn spirit points through multiple events, such as Spirit Day dress-down themes, pep rally participation, Venturelympics, charity opportunities, etc. At the end of the year, the grade with the most points will receive one day off of school.

HOMECOMING IS NEXT WEEK AND WE WANT TO SEE YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT. YOUR GRADE NEEDS YOU!

Next Friday, we will have a school-wide pep assembly, during which we will play some fun games that count toward the Spirit Point class totals. Ms. Jagow has sent out a Google Form to your email. Please fill out the form if you are interested in participating by this Friday, September 13th.

Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Guest forms for Homecoming are available in the Main Office. Forms are due no later than 3pm on September 18th.

Have you heard about PASS? PASS is Peer Academic Support System, formerly known as Homework Help. This will be taking place, starting THIS Thursday, September 12th from 2:55-3:30 in the Media Center. NHS students will be available to assist you with your homework, classwork, test corrections or to provide study suggestions. Get a jump start on your homework or preparing for a test or quiz. No registration is needed, it's free and you're more likely to pass if you go to PASS. Any questions, please see Mrs. Osborn in Lab 4 of the Media Center.

Do you like to read for fun? Do you like to talk to others about the books you've read? If you answered "yes" to both of these questions, then the BFC Book Club is for you. Join us in Lab 4 of the Media on Thursday, September 19th from 7:20-7:45 am. Bring, or be prepared to share the book you enjoyed reading this summer. We'll discuss our summer reads, and select a book to read and discuss in October. Those who RSVP to Mrs. Osborn, will also enjoy some breakfast treats. Grab that book, grab a friend and join us for breakfast and lively discussion.

The first Key Club meeting of the school year is tomorrow morning at 7:30 in Mr. Merricle's room. Come join us and bring a friend to see what we are all about.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 9/10/24, is our first perfect uniform day. Please review the expectations for perfect uniform requirements in the handbook. Remember, for perfect uniform and regular uniform, shoes must be leather or leather like material. No cloth, canvas or athletic style shoes are to be worn, socks must be pulled up, sweaters are required with white Oxford shirt (not polo) underneath.
