Bishop Foley Catholic offers a college preparatory academic program with more than 100 courses and 20 AP and honors classes. Tennis fell to Jewish Academy last night finishing 2nd in our league. Wins came for the first doubles team of Maya Pelshaw and Breena Kas-Mikha who played a 3 hour long 3 set match for the win. The second doubles team of Rachel Maltese and Miray Alkatib won in straight sets. Strong performances came from Rachel Greco who fought hard through three sets and 4th doubles Elysia Youkhanna and Bridge Gilbert who took the second set to a tiebreak losing it 6 to 8. Congratulations to the tennis team for making it to 2nd place in their league and good luck at the Catholic League tournament this Saturday at Catholic Central and Mercy - Play starts at 9 AM and will go on all day - come catch them in action.

Yesterday the girls' softball team split with Our Lady of the Lakes. Emily Cavalier had an in park homerun.

The Foley Boys are Comerica Park Bound! Yesterday they beat Greenhills 11-0 and 6-5. Come support them tonight at home as they face Richmond. Game time is 4:30pm.

Boys Golf travels to Gabriel Richard tonight, tee off is at 4:00pm.

Good luck to the girls' soccer team as they travel to Liggett. Game time is 4:30pm.

The Varsity Baseball Team won both games yesterday against Ann Arbor Greenhills to secure a trip to the Catholic League Semi Finals at Comerica Park next Friday. The Ventures won the first game 11-0; Sante Valdez pitched a complete game shutout and led the team with four hits at the plate. The second game was a nail biter, and the Ventures won on a walk-off single by Tad Dobek to score Drew Mleczko in the bottom of the 9th inning. Dylan Barbieiri led the team with 4 hits in the second game and Sante Valdez added 3 hits.

The Ventures will play at Comerica Park next Friday, May 19th, at either 5:00pm or 7:00pm. Hope to see you there!

Attentions girls: Coach Stephanie Barnes will have the weight room open this summer on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 AM. This will be girls only sessions, and will begin June 13th. You can contact her or Coach Barnes with any questions.
