Sports Announcements Wednesday April 19, 2023

Last night the softball team defeated Marian 3-2 and 20-11.In the first game, Anna Crosbsy went 2-4 with a double and a homerun. Emily M Pitched all 7 innings giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 11. In the second game Isabella Brunt went 2-4 with a homerun and 4 RBIs. Isabella and Emily combined for 11 strikeouts in 7 innings.

The Baseball team had a good team effort defeating Cabrini 10-1 and 12-2. They take the field next against the school west of Woodward this Friday.

The Tennis team defeated Riverview Gabriel Richard 6-2.

Tonight the lacrosse team hosts Liggett at 6:30.

Tennis defeated opponent Riverview Gabriel Richard yesterday 6 to 2. Strong performances were given by Hadyn Gordon at 2nd singles, and 3rd doubles team of Lauren Bartkiewicz and Alina Prykazka. 3rd Singles Rachel Grecco, 4th Singles Mara Guiterrez and new 4th doubles team Bridget Gilbert and Elysia Youkhanna won their matches in straight sets. Last year's winning 4th doubles team Maya Pelshaw and Breena Kas-Mikha came back strong at 1st doubles this year, fighting their way to a win in three sets. Returning 2nd doubles team Rachel Maltese and Miray Alkatib double bageled their opponents without dropping any games. Congratulations to the team and their strong start to the season. Catch them in action at home this Thursday at Halmich Park in Warren where they will look for their second win against Everest.
