NHS extends a big THANK YOU to the student body and staff for contributing over 2500 servings of candy to make this year's safe halloween a success. All students who signed up to work the event should have received an email from Ms Hughes yesterday.

And now for the results of the candy collection and spirit points totals....

Making a last minute push sophomores brought in 255 servings just yesterday to earn 10 spirit points. Juniors brought in 391 servings of candy to earn 15 spirit points. The seniors brought in 633 servings of candy for 20 spirit points and the Freshmen maintained the lead bringing in a total of 1317 servings of candy to gain 25 spirit points.

This brings the spirit points totals to:

4th place with 34 points - Sophomores

3rd place with 98 points - Juniors

2nd place with 101 points - Seniors

1st place with 121 points - Freshmen

The next opportunity to earn spirit points is the Mental Health Walk - refer to the email from counseling on how to participate and earn your class spirit points.

Tomorrow morning the BFC Book Club will meet to discuss the graphic novel Freshman Year by Sarah Mai. Come join us for some lively discussion and breakfast treats. We're meeting in Lab 4 of the Media Center at 7:30 am. Even if you haven't read the book, you're welcome to join us. We will decide what to read for November at this meeting too.

Medical Science Club returns Tuesday October 28th in Room 124! Dr. Willie will be leading some hands-on activities from 3-4 after school. If you are interested in learning more about the human body or interested in going into the medical field, feel free to swing by! All are welcome, and no sign up is needed. If you have any questions please see Mr. Novajovsky.

This week, we began our 2nd marking period of the school year. Now is a great time to work on a new habit by attending PASS this afternoon. Whether you're working on homework, preparing for a test, or just reviewing notes, we've got a friendly, helpful tutor willing to work with you. Meet up with us in the Media Center from 2:55-3:30 pm today!

The Fan Cave will be closed after school tomorrow as we prepare for the Fall Open House. Please note that there will be few, if any, places to wait for a ride, as we will be setting up all over the school, so please plan accordingly. Unless you are assisting with Open House Set-Up, or participating in Safe Halloween, do not plan on being in the building after school on Friday.
