The Knights of Columbus are running their annual Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest, which is to take place in September. This is an opportunity for 8th through 12th grade Catholic students to participate in civic discourse and instill in them religious and life-affirming values. Participants will write an essay of 500-750 words on a specific topic, which this year is "The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God." Applications are in the Main Office. Please have filled forms and completed essays to the Main Office no later than September 26th to securely meet the contests September 28th deadline. Prizes will be awarded. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Madsen.

BFC's Art Club has its first & general interest meeting today in Room 128 from 3-3:30pm. Art club offers a variety of art activities and projects for those who are interested, as well as studio work time for students enrolled in art courses here, and opportunities to design and paint on walls around campus and in the community. Contact Mr. Hughes for any questions.

Reminder to NHS members. The September PASS sign-up form will be sent out at the end of announcements this morning. All NHS members are expected to complete and submit the form prior to 12:00 noon today. Many thanks for being willing to share your time and talents with the BFC community.

All staff and students, please note that when we return on Tuesday from the long holiday weekend we will NOT be having Mass, but will be running a full day schedule. Dress will be normal summer uniform.



Sports Announcements for Thursday, September 3, 2026

Lady Ventures, are you interested in competing in the Senior vs. Junior Powderpull game during Homecoming week? It is one of the many events planned throughout the school year that people always enjoy. Please fill out the interest forms sent to your emails by your class captains as soon as possible.

Attention all BFC Students. BFC Cross Country is looking for more athletes to join both the girls and boys teams. It Is Not Too Late To Join! All students interested please stop by and see Coach Lewis (Room 130).

Good luck to both the Boys Soccer Team and Football Team who have home games today. Soccer plays at 4:30 pm against Cardinal Mooney, and Football at 7:00 pm against Sacred Heart. The theme for both games is Adam Sandler. A field goal contest will also be taking place during half time of the football game. The 1st place winner goes home with a gift card! This is our first home football game of the season, so show up, dress the theme, and get all your friends to go. We want our student section to be full and as loud as possible!
