Sports Announcements for Tuesday, October 7, 2025

During the Pep Rally on Friday, each fall sport was recognized for its great workout throughout the season. We wanted to reiterate their accomplishments, in case you missed them. Today we will highlight Girls golf, Boys soccer, and Swim.

BFC Girls Golf has 7 golfers this fall: Brooke Wolfe, Zemma Kenny, Amanda Hess, Lellie Novosad, Maria Hopkins, Natalie Skok, and Marlee Karwoski. Maria competed in the CHSL tournament last week, and also qualified for the regional team set to compete next week. Great job girls.

Boys soccer is led by Andrew Bishop, Cole Brinkmeier, Mike Ruzycki, Zane Taulbee, and Zach Nephorados. This young team is improving every week and is hoping to find its stride going into districts. Come support the team in their Round 1 district match at home on October 8th at 6 PM.

The Swim team is starting off their season with a 6-6 record, and multiple county and state cuts. County cuts have been made in the 200 meter medley relay, the 200 meter individual medley by Avery Wood and Louisa McCartney, the 50 meter freestyle by Avery Wood, the 100 meter butterfly by Kate Swonder, the 100 meter freestyle by Avery Wood, and the 100 meter breaststroke by Avery Wood and Louisa McCartney. State cuts have been made in the 200 meter individual medley by Avery Wood and 100 meter breaststroke by Avery Wood. The team had County meet this past Saturday, and is looking forward to a great second half of the season.

Anyone interested in joining the Bowling Team should stop by the cafeteria tomorrow directly after school to sign up and pick up an information sheet. See Coach Barnes if you have any questions.

Good luck to the Cross Country team, who compete at the Novi Christian Academy Small School Invite at 4pm

Good luck to the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams, who play Gabriel Richard at home at 5:30 and 7pm.
