Do you want free Chick-fil-a for lunch this Friday? Talk with Ms. Baumgartner about attending lunch with a priest from the University of Notre Dame. He will be ordering Chick-fil-a and discussing some opportunities to grow in faith and explore vocation this summer.

Friday, October 24th the BFC Book Club will meet to discuss the graphic novel Freshman Year by Sarah Mai. Come join us for some lively discussion and breakfast treats. We're meeting in Lab 4 of the Media Center at 7:30 am. Even if you haven't read the book, you're welcome to join us. We will decide what to read for November at this meeting too.

Medical Science Club returns Tuesday October 28th in Room 124! Dr. Willie will be leading some hands-on activities from 3-4 after school. If you are interested in learning more about the human body or interested in going into the medical field, feel free to swing by! All are welcome, and no sign up is needed. If you have any questions please see Mr. Novajovsky.

The Fan Cave will be closed after school this Friday, October 24th, as we prepare for the Fall Open House. Please note that there will be few, if any, places to wait for a ride, as we will be setting up all over the school, so please plan accordingly. Unless you are assisting with Open House Set-Up, or participating in Safe Halloween, do not plan on being in the building after school on Friday.

Today, the Mental Health Club is bringing attention to suicide prevention. When someone is hurting, the signs may not always be easy to see, but things such as pulling away from friends, mood changes, and talking about death can be quiet cries for help. It is extremely important to take those signs seriously. If you’re ever worried about someone or about yourself, please speak up. Reach out to a teacher, counselor, parent, or call 988 for free, confidential support at any time. Sometimes, the best way to help is simply just by being there, listening without judgment, showing compassion, and speaking about suicide openly. Remember, you are not alone. You are loved, your life has meaning, and there is always hope, even on the darkest days.

Bishop Foley's mental health walk supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Your $20 donation supports the work they do to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. Join us next Wednesday at the track from 2-3pm to walk with your friends and support this important cause. Turn your money in to Mr. Lewalski in the counseling office by next Tuesday and you'll get a dress down day on Wednesday, Oct. 29th and earn spirit points for your class.
