Homecoming is here and we want to see your school spirit! The "Most Spirited Award" is given to one student in each grade that awards originality, creativity and overall appearance for each themed day. Voting will occur on Friday, October 6th during Homeroom. The winner will not only get a certificate but will also receive a $25 gift card!
Your class needs your help to earn Spirit Points for your grade! At our Fall Pep Rally, we have four class competitions that YOU can participate in. Click on the link that's in your email. We will also have a separate class challenge during Homecoming Week. Gift Card Challenge! The class that brings the most total valued gift cards (cost) will win Spirit Points. For an added bonus, every $15 gift card you bring in, your name will be entered in a drawing to pie a staff member at the Pep Rally! Please look at posters and social media for more information!
Homecoming Tickets will be on sale AFTER SCHOOL today and tomorrow ONLY in the cafeteria at 3pm. THERE WILL BE NO TICKET SALES ON FRIDAY. The earlier you buy your ticket, the less you have to wait in a long line! Tickets are $15 a piece (or $30 for a couple). Please bring exact change.
Homecoming guest forms are due TODAY by 3:00pm…there will be NO EXCEPTIONS! If you have not received an email from Mr. Madsen, we have not received your form.
Looking for service hours? Bowers Farm in Bloomfield Hills is looking for volunteers to help with their Fall festival on October 14 & 15. Contact Mrs. Baumgartner for more details!
Attention all students interested in the medical world! Dr. Willie returns for the Medical Science Club meeting on Monday, October 9th, in room 124 after school. Discover the wonders of medicine, and participate in hands-on activities, and grab a bite to eat before your practice. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to Mr. Nova. See you there!
Mental Health Announcement
Our mental health topic for this week is stress. Stress is inevitable; everybody experiences it. Stress cannot be eliminated but it can become easier to deal with if you see the stressor as a challenge. Look out for posters around the school for healthy tips on how to handle stress. Next Wednesday, October 11 is our Walk for Mental Health! We’ll be walking after the 1:15 dismissal to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and to highlight our commitment to mental health. Ask your neighbors and co-workers to help sponsor you for $20 and turn in your money to Mr. Swift or Mr. Lewalski by next Tuesday. You’ll get a dress down day on the day of the walk with a colored t-shirt supporting an aspect of mental health. Check out the posters or talk to Mr. Swift, Mrs. Masen or counseling for more details. Make a difference with your participation. Every voice counts.
