Team Culture & Philosophy

Our mission is to build positive relationships with players, staff and community while building strong, young men in the process. By instilling and teaching values such as trust, honesty, passion, hard work and caring we can build young leaders who create and facilitate a positive basketball culture.

What makes the BFC team special?

It is a priority within our program to maintain teams at all three levels (Freshmen, JV, and Varsity). This allows more of our student-athletes the opportunity to compete and develop not only their basketball skills, but to learn and practice the other core values we teach within our program facilitating success both on and off the court.

Coach Profile

Coach Oravetz has 7 years of coaching experience and is entering his first season as the Varsity Basketball Coach at Bishop Foley. A BFC alumni (2012) and former college basketball player at Kalamazoo College, he helped BFC win their first two boys basketball Catholic League Championships as a player.
